Salary support for the duration of the course is provided by Health Education England at a maximum salary of mid band 5 (AFC). As this is a studentship, previous salary bandings will not be matched and there are no enhanced payments for unsociable hours. Health Education England will also be funding university tuition fees for those commencing shortened midwifery training between January 2022 - April 2024 (up to a maximum of £9,250 per annum). Some students may also be eligible for a means tested maintenance loan. Further information can be obtained through Student Finance England. Successful applicants will need to be able to travel to University of Bradford for the theoretical components of the course.
