The MuleSoft Developer works closely with the Solution Architects and the Mulesoft team to implement MuleSoft's AnyPoint platform-based Integrations in order to support business requirements. The MuleSoft Developer will design, build, and maintain integrations for multiple on premises and cloud systems and must be capable of understanding business requirements, working with various business and technical teams and in developing, deploying, and supporting the integration solutions using MuleSoft Platform.

Where applicable, to place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop Integration Solutions Using MuleSoft Software
  • Provide technical expertise in large, complex environments.
  • Individual will be responsible to provide:
    • Detailed requirements analysis
    • Software/API design
    • Development of API’s
    • Development and execution of Testing Strategies
    • Deployment of API’s using the companies CI/CD tooling
  • Production support for MuleSoft Interface Applications
  • Provide training to team members to build knowledge and skills on the MuleSoft AnyPoint platform.
  • Develop and analyse interfaces in the Mulesoft Anypoint platform using Design Centre, API management, Runtime manager & connectors.

Risk:

  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • Extensive experience in a busy IT department, with experience as a developer in a financial services area
  • Financial Services background preferred
  • Broad knowledge of technologies across the IT landscape
  • Experience in creating REST API using RAML and Open API standards.
  • Experience in creating flows within Mule and writing unit tests using MUnit framework
  • Good understanding of relational databases and experience working with different adaptors (HTTP, Salesforce, JMS, MQ etc)
  • Some programming skills using J2EE & Spring Framework
  • Experience in the Mulesoft DataWeave component for doing payload transformation
  • Experience in developing security policies within Mulesoft and deploying them into the Mulesoft Anypoint platform.
  • Understanding of synchronous/asynchronous patterns with respect to message queuing, message sequencing & correlation.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, including ability to plan and review
  • Highly computer literate; with strong Business Analysis skills
  • Cloud Architecture experience preferable

Communication Skills

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with colleagues, providers and senior management
  •  Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive collaboration across the organisation

Qualifications:

  • MuleSoft Certifications
    • MuleSoft Certified Developer (Mule 4)
  • ITIL Foundation qualified
