Are you a dedicated educator with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, we have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) for a creative and committed Multi-Site Tutor in London. The role involves teaching and delivering lessons across different services in London, addressing identified needs and providing additional resource. Responsibilities include lesson planning, collaboration with fellow tutors, development of schemes of work, and creation of engaging educational materials. The post holder will collaborate with the management team to strategically allocate teaching resource, cover lessons as needed, and contribute to the overall quality of teaching.
We are looking for a dynamic tutor who can adapt to varying teaching environments, accommodate various student needs, and is comfortable with a proactive schedule that includes traveling between different sites as required.
Joining us as a Tutor on our Supported Internship programme means joining a compassionate and uplifting team dedicated to empowering young individuals with learning disabilities, difficulties, and/or autism as they step into the world of work. As a Tutor, your role extends beyond teaching English and Maths – you're a catalyst for integrating these subjects seamlessly into lessons on employability and preparing for adulthood. Beyond academics, you'll inspire and instil vital life skills, shaping how your learners connect with and contribute to their wider community. Does this sound like you?
  • Experience of supporting people
  • Experience of delivering against targets
  • Experience of working with a diverse group of learners
  • A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
  • Recognised teaching qualification at level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, Level 3 PTTLs considered)
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering and assessing functional skills English and Maths up to level 2
  • Experience & knowledge of safe working practices
  • Good classroom management skills and strategies
  • Good time management and planning skills
