SalaryMultiskilled Carpenter Craftsperson–Temp to Perm–South Birmingham Needed ASAP
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Carpenter Craftsperson for a hospital based in South Birmingham.
This role is mobile and you will be expected to travel, a van will be provided for you. The ideal candidate will be willing to work for salary TBC based upon experience. You will need to work Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm, 37.5 hours per week The candidate needs an Enhanced DBSor be willing to have one in place before starting.
The role will involve:
- Maintaining and repairing of fire escapes, fire doors, locks, key cutting etc
- Being responsible for all day-to-day carpentry repairs
- Manufacture of purpose made joinery
- Replacing damaged architectural timberwork
- Manufacturing and hanging doors, fitting kitchen units, fixing notices and signs, manufacturing, and fixing shelving
- General Building works
- Ensuring work is completed in line with Health and Safety standards
- Minor M&E PPM tasks i.e emergency light testing, PAT testing, Fire extinguisher Inspections
- To undertake other duties as may be directed by the Estates Manager
The ideal candidate will have
Training in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Carpentry or equivalent
· A Full UK License
· Relevant Qualifications (C&G or Equivalent to level 2 or level 3)
· Previous experience of working in the building maintenance industry within a commercial environment
