Multi-Skilled Engineer Day and Night Shift available
Salary: £38,000 – £48,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (OT Available) Night Shift Hours; Monday to Friday
Location: Near Soham

Key Accountabilities:
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering team, providing effective and professional engineering services. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the business to cultivate a strong work ethic, maintain site efficiencies, and uphold cost considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reactive crisis breakdown services both mechanically and electrically for the operational success of the site.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance, servicing schedules, and overhauls of site plant, machinery, and equipment.
- Support the delivery of site performance targets and actively participate in process development and continuous improvement projects.
- Execute engineering projects as scoped with the Head of Engineering.
- Maintain the engineering log and shift hand-over, recording all aspects of work carried out on site plant and equipment.
- Highlight observed risks to performance and escalate accordingly with suggested remedial plans.
- Proactively manage stock levels and advise on the need to order spares ahead of failure.
- Collaborate with third-party service engineers and contractors, promoting a positive image of the company and the engineering department.
Health, Safety, and Environmental:
- Promote a culture of Health & Safety, communicating all risks to the Health and Safety Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures relevant to safe working practices.
- Keep work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition, adhering to environmental regulations.
- Contribute to reducing environmental waste by implementing practical measures.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Maintain quality performance in terms of CPMU & rejections.
- Manage non-conformances, including external or internal audit findings.
- Actively communicate with colleagues and managers, playing a participative part in technical briefings or meetings.

Person Specification:
Requirements:
- Exposure to a hands-on engineering environment.
- Team collaboration experience.
- PPM delivery and experience in the food or FMCG industry preferred
- Familiarity with a CMMS.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2323 or 17th edition (BS 7671).
- Proven PLC and electrical controls fault-finding training preferred
- H&S awareness/qualification.
Additional Responsibilities / Skills:
- Play a pivotal role in observing company health, safety, and wellbeing rules.
- Assist in maintaining the company image on social media and adhere to GDPR regulations.
