As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising their production machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to respond to breakdowns promptly and minimise production downtime.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including replacing faulty components, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, using our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance schedules and shutdowns.
• Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements, participating in root cause analysis and suggesting innovative solutions.
• Adhere to strict safety and hygiene guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements:

• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field).
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a food production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, and automation.
• Proficiency in using CMMS software for maintenance documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear updates on maintenance activities.
