gap technical are proud to be representing an Industry Leading manufacturing business in their search for an Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Chester.
Performance Objectives

• Work closely with the production teams to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production downtime.
• Work collaboratively within the engineering team, providing support in investigating means of improving plant productivity and establishing causes for all breakdowns and damages.
• Ensure that all necessary spare parts, materials, and equipment are available
• Action any necessary repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.
• Be involved in both electrical and mechanical reactive and pro-active maintenance.
• Be proactive in ensuring good health and safety on site.
• To assist in the development and carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled to required standard.
• Complete corrective actions to return equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels
• Respond immediately to equipment failures
• Conduct systematic, rigorous and accurate fault diagnosis

Person Specification

• Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering)
• 18th Edition (Desirable)
• 2391-10 Electrical Testing (Desirable)
• Experience of using Planned Maintenance systems (Desirable)
• A proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role gained from a Manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer literacy
• Understand the need for accurate record keeping for quality, food safety and Health & Safety.
• A can do attitude and a strong work ethic
