We have a role available for maintenance technician or multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on Deeside, Flintshire.

You will be working for a best in sector global manufacturing business who operate using hazardous chemicals.

Your focus in this role will be to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance and minimise downtime for the production facility.

This role is working a 3 shift rotation Monday-Friday. 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am nights.

Main duties for the Maintenance Technician:

• Implement statutory inspection routines.
• Carry out preventative & reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Help investigate & find root causes for repeated breakdowns & implement permanent solutions.
• Undertake routine electrical inspections & complete repairs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to install & commission new equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance work is precisely detailed on our maintenance system for full equipment history.
• Complete work within agreed timescales.
• Work safely in line with recognised codes & practices.
• Participate in identifying & executing continuous improvement activities to improve performance.

Candidate Requirements for the Maintenance Technician:

• Engineering Apprenticeship NVQ3 - HNC Diploma
• Possess 18th Edition Wiring Regulations plus Compex Cert Ex01-06.
• Experience in a maintenance role.
• Significant experience in an environment where hazardous or flammable chemical are handled.
• Building facility management support.
• Proficient MSOffice user.
• Strong Mechanical craft skills.
• Strong health & safety awareness.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
