Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a global group of companies who specialise in the manufacture of drainage and piping solutions above and below ground. You will be working in the Blackfordby site which produces clay drainage pipes, with a loyal and friendly team culture!
This is a permanent full-time role working on a continental shift pattern. The salary for this Multi Skilled Maintenance role is £31,000 -  £43,605 per annum dependent on experience including shift plus excellent benefits as below!
Shifts:
Week one – 2 days on, 5 days off and 2 nights on
Week two – 2 days on, 4 days off and 3 nights on
Week three – 3 days on, 5 days off and 2 nights on
 
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be reporting to the Engineering Supervisor ensuring that all electrical and mechanical maintenance for the site is maintained, keeping downtime to a minimum with the following responsibilities: 

• Carry out day to day maintenance activities (electrical and mechanical), maintaining machinery
• Carry out reactive and proactive work including PPM (planned preventitive maintenance) and improvement work
• To actively and analytically fault find
• Contribute to implementing new working methods and actively participate in continuous improvement
• Involvement in site projects around site
• Maintain maintenance monitoring
• Mentor Apprentices within the Engineering department
• To attend and participate in daily engineering steering, weekly root cause analysis (RCA) and monthly energy meetings

 We are keen to hear from applicants with the following experience and skills

• Previous experiance working as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer or similar
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge ideally
• ONC qualified / advanced level 3 engineering apprenticeship
• Time served engineer with a knowledge of manufacturing operations/practices
• A technical knowledge in injection moulding, extrusion and automated assembly systems
• PLC fault-finding
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Good working knowledge of health & safety proceedures
