Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer required to join an FMCG in Derbyshire. The role will have a mixture of reactive and proactive maintenance along with project based work.

Description
- Identifying and raising defects as a result of part surveillance and monitoring, advising on the priority defects in designated areas of responsibility.
- Investigating site failure or deterioration and recommending and carrying out remedial action, monitoring the effectiveness of remedial maintenance or modification work.
- Supporting the maintenance of site history and statutory records as required.
- Ensuring the activities undertaken or supervised comply with control procedures.
- Assisting, as required in the preparation of cost estimates for site improvements and remedial work and the identification of safety requirements and commercial benefits.
- Identifying the needs for modifications to engineering and for proposing the site modification category.
- Updating maintenance instructions and drawings arising from site modifications.
- Undertaking a nominated role in the site emergency plan, as required.
- Contributing to major overhaul work on site, as necessary.
- Contributing to the quality improvement process.

- Ensuring compliance with environmental policy and the associated management system and being aware of the consequences of departing from authorised procedures and instructions.
- Adhering at all times to company policies and procedures.
Profile
* Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG although other manufacturing industries will be considered.
* Holding NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance with an electrical qualification.
* Excellent written, spoken and listening communication skills
* Previous experience of continuous improvement projects.
