Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of machines, including screw extruders, classifiers, blenders, mixers, vacuum pumps and water pumps to minimise machine downtime.Carry out on-site electrical works, installing/replacing sockets, lighting, emergency lighting etc.Carry out required mechanical & electrical modifications to improve machine efficiency or reliability, updating drawings as necessary.Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Time-served Maintenance Engineering apprenticeship.NVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent in electrical engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in an electrical maintenance role.Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience fault finding on a variety of control panels, both new and old.Experience modifying or updating machine control panels.Experience fault finding to PLC level.Experience programming PLC's.Experience setting up / modifying inverter parameters.18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Qualified.City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing Qualified.If you feel that you have the skills to be successful in this Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer role, please apply now.
