Multi Skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer 

£45k and an attractive benefits package
Skegness based - with occasional cover at the Louth site
Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer will take ownership in organising and overseeing all types of works, reactive, planned preventative maintenance and projects as required, while helping to make sure shifts are staffed. 

The ideal Multi Skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer will have/be:

  • A full driving licence
  • HND / HNC qualified within a relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience of electrical and programmable logic controllers systems would be advantageous
  • 17th addition electrical and above would be advantageous
  • Steam awareness and pneumatics would be beneficial

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all services and production line machinery is continually operational through liaison with operators and shift production managers
  • Coordinating with the team to plan Planned preventative maintenance schedules, insurance inspections and shift patterns
  • Follow all site safety rules and ensure that working practices in relation to Health, Safety and housekeeping are maintained, identifying and immediately reporting all potential hazards and/or unsafe working practices
  • Take decisive action in the event of issues, look for prompt resolution and feedback your actions as needed
  • Managing and monitoring processes to ensure the operations team have a high level of customer service both in the speed of response and also the manner of communication
  • Able to maintain plant and equipment to a high and professional standard -  with electrical and mechanical skills
  • Carry out H&S inspections and carry out corrective actions
  • Awareness of ISO standards (50001, 14001) and ensuring the company complies with the standards, be aware of legal compliance issues and act in a manner according to the standards / legislation
  • Able to Project manage small and medium projects, including Continues improvement opportunities
  • Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft office products
  • Provide management team with regular reports

This role would suit an experienced Maintenance Engineer, who has practical experience in a manufacturing or a production environment who can essentially take ownership of all site equipment and work on their own initiative, with a proactive attitude helping to drive the department forward.

Extra training and progression for the right candidate will be offered.
