The role
As a Multi Skilled Operative, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Your role will include providing Multi Skilled support for the Fleet Engineering teams as and when directed by section Team Leaders or line management.

Day to day, you'll conduct a wide range of activities to support the provision of services to UK Nuclear Submarines and Warships, at HMNB Faslane

• To provide support to engineering teams to enable the completion of all planned preventative maintenance and nuclear implicated work to ensure the department meets the objectives of the Business
• To provide support to engineering teams to enable the identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects and alterations to ensure the continued availability and performance Clyde HM Submarines, Surface Craft and the Estate.
• Support pressure testing and repair of components including freeze seal operations
• Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity in accordance with set objectives and timescales
• Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems Of Work and control of work processes within BM&T Clyde policies

This role is full time and will be based at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh.

Essential experience of the Multi Skilled Operative - Nuclear Repair:

• Engineering activities and equipment e.g. pressure washer operation, fork lift driving operations, lagging, slinging, also transporting tools and equipment and personnel onsite, manual handling
• Control, issue and return of work equipment
• Risk, COSHH assessments & safe systems of work

Qualifications for the Multi Skilled Operative - Nuclear Repair :

• All training will be provided, so experience of engineering / operations is not mandatory.
• Driving licence is desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
