Your new role
You would form part of a team, working to provide a high level of maintenance support to the M & E Supervisor, meeting business and contractual obligations. This role is working on a shift pattern (2 x Days 12-Hour shifts followed by 2 x Nights 12-hour shifts followed by 4 x days off). The successful candidate will need to pass a DBS prior to starting the role. You will be entitled to a shift allowance. The role will cover the RVI and Freeman hospitals in Newcastle.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of M&E maintenance are completed in line with our contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all assets are maintained in accordance with the O&M manuals, best practice and relevant guidelines/legislation.
  • Assist in supervising subcontractors and monitor SSOW, policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all reactive calls in line with our contractual time scales, complete job sheets, reports and documentation as required.
  • Work safely at all times in accordance with SSOW, policies and procedures.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional approach and image must be adhered to at all times.
  • Keep all plant/rooms / services enclosures clean, tidy, safe and secure.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during the course of your working shift.
  • Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Essential

  • Previous experience of mechanical and or multidisciplined maintenance
    Must have sound interpersonal skills, and pay attention to detail
  • Must have experience and competence in relevant Health & Safety legislation
  • Capable of acting under your own initiative
  • Commitment to high quality service provision
  • Excellent customer awareness and team-working skills

Desirable

  • 18th Edition or C&G 2391
  • Desire to attain competency in other aspects of building services
  • Commitment to personal development
