Multi-Trade Operative
Based at Wroughton Business Park – Swindon – covering Swindon, Basingstoke and Reading areas

- £34,111 per year
40 hours per week
You will be attending occupied properties to carry out day to day repairs across the Reading, Basingstoke and Swindon areas. With skills in plumbing, you will work in a team of 8 however the role will be primarily lone working. A van and tools will be provided with this role and a full training plan will be provided to the successful candidate.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:
- Attending occupied properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
- Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Maintaining a suitable van stock level, restocking these when needed and ordering special materials
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works to customers and managers
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical or level 3 if Plumbing), currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group
- City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience in Plumbing or relevant trade is essential
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- Skills in some of the following disciplines – Plumbing, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license
