Multi Trader

Our client a leader within their industry require a Multi trader ideally coming from a Social Housing background / Housing Association to cover locations around Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire. You will be expected to specialise in one of the following trades: Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Plastering, Brick Laying, Painting & Decorating or Ground Work / Fencing, be highly competent in a second trade from the list, and be able to undertake at least two other trades to a standard level.

You will be responsible for completing repairs in the homes occupied by our tenants.

• You will receive work orders through your PDA and be given appointment times to attend.

• You will be expected to identify the right and cost-effective solution to problems that you

attend and complete those repairs to a good standard and with the minimum inconvenience

to the customer.

• You will liaise with the Planner to organise jobs and maximise your working

time.

• Work in accordance with our policies and procedures relating to safe working in our

customers homes and public areas

• Provide out of hours support to a rotational basis

• You will be responsible for completing day to day repairs to a workman like standard.

• You will be expected to work at a reasonable pace whilst completing repairs to a high

standard

• You will be able to fault find and accurately diagnose the repairs needed; decide the most

efficient and effective value for money and arrange materials where needed.

• You will follow the processes required when undertaking all work.

• You must be able to work with minimum supervision

• You must be competent in using an electronic personal digital assistant device to receive

and record work.

• To undertake any other reasonable duties/projects as required by your line manager

40 hour week

Salary: GBP38,440 per annum
