Multiply Early Years Skills Trainer - Early Years - Fixed Term
Job description
Fixed Term until 31st March 2025
37 hours per week
Are you a skilled education professional, with strong maths skills and experience of supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes?
Are you passionate about supporting families to secure improved outcomes for themselves and their children?
Would you like the opportunity to plan and deliver fun and creative workshops for families and engaging lessons for parents, all aimed at improving numeracy skills of those living in Bridgend.
This could be the role for you!
We are looking to recruit a knowledgeable, resourceful, and creative practitioner with a love of maths, to support the delivery of the Multiply programme with Early Years families.
Funded by UK Government and forming key element of Bridgend's Multiply project, the Multiply Early Years Skills Trainer will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging sessions aimed at improving the confidence of parents to support the early maths skills of their children, and to undertake numeracy qualifications of their own.
If you believe as strongly as we do in the importance of parental engagement in the Early Years and you are excited by this challenge, we want to hear from you. A discussion with our Multiply Early Years Family Learning Project Co-Ordinator, Danielle Davies, is warmly encouraged and easily arranged. Please contact to ask any questions you have or to organise an appointment for an informal conversation.
The role provides the opportunity to work flexibly in line with the requirements of the service. As a home working element is offered as part of this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped with a reliable internet connection. Applicants should also be aware that this post will require travel throughout Bridgend County and therefore a valid driving licence and the sole use of a car are a requirement of appointment.
This is a great opportunity to join a diverse and successful team and to play and important part in the success of an innovative and exciting project. We look forward to receiving your application.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
