Multiskilled Engineer
King’s Lynn, Norfolk
Salary Package from £50,472 (includes shift allowance & annual company bonus, plus benefits)
Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off, days & nights
As Multiskilled Engineer with Mars, you will play a vital role in keeping a multimillion-pound factory running! You’ll also have the freedom to find and make process improvements and to be involved in projects across the factory!
You will provide technical leadership by fault finding and problem solving on a broad range of equipment, you will use sound judgement to help solve critical production stoppages in our high-volume production environment.
The role will have reactive and proactive elements, responding to break down situations and operational escalations. The proactive elements of the role will include planned tasks execution and opportunities for Continuous Improvement works.
What are we looking for?
Any Engineering qualification supported by mechanical and electrical experience
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders
Experience in problem solving and Root Cause Analysis of technical issues
Self-motivated and responsible for your own area of work
Experience or knowledge in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
What will be your key responsibilities?
Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying the root cause in the repair process
Technical lead for all PET activity (Emergency situations) and responsible for the delivery of all services in and out of the Factory (including steam, air, water, gas and electricity)
Input of all maintenance works into CMMS, including write up on breakdowns, correct sign off from other PM types including the correct booking in or out of parts as appropriate
Provide technical experience/expertise/ information to assist others in resolution of equipment issue, including raising and completing Breakdown Analysis.
Drive down and reduce reactive maintenance whilst using a continuous improvement mindset to reduce technical losses.
