Role Profile
Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.
As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering Supplies, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a National Account Executive for their prestigious Hotel and Key Account Sector. The role will be home-based with the ad-hoc travel to customer sites.
The role is field based with a ratio of 3-4 days in the field and 1-2 in the office/home. The role is mixture of account management and sales. Managing existing accounts and growing sales is key. The role is a targeted role where you help support and directly achieve the targets in both sales and profitability as set out by the business.
The role is national due to coverage of the customers, and this will require nights away occasionally. A company car, laptop and phone will be provided.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
- Delivery and compliance of contractual requirements within Hotel and Key Account Sector
- Identify opportunities within the defined portfolio and wider account, to achieve planned growth
- Manage category and product switches
- Project manage special events and new client roll-outs
- Understand the needs of the customer and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Industry and product knowledge
- Knowledge of customers in the wider food retail, catering and facilities management industries.
- Uses a consultative approach to sell the benefits of Bunzl Catering Supplies to clients.
- Regular review meetings at client sites, to build relationships and identify opportunities.
- Review compliance within the customer portfolio and the use of GAP analysis.
- Liaise with internal key stakeholders to meet customer needs, ensuring smooth running of the account and a programme of continual improvement.
- Generate enquiries and work with the Key Account Managers in responding to queries and questions.
Skills and Experience
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Time management and planning skills
- Strong commercial awareness - numerical and analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills required
- Proven evidence of success in Account Management preferred.
