As a Sampling Chef you will be responsible for the efficient preparation and professional presentation of all food items for the sampling sessions and food provisions for Head Office visitors.

Your New Role:

• To prepare and cook food requests, including the preparation and delivery of all food sampling activities and meal provision for the ALDI business competently and independently.
• Acts as a support for the National Buying Department and the wider business on all Taste Kitchen Chef related matters.
• Prepare and cook the product samples for the Buying Directors evaluation for all sampling sessions.
• Actively manages the area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency.
• Communicates issues found during preparation to the Sampling Assistant to be incorporated into the overall evaluation of the product.
• To liaise and communicate with business stakeholders in a professional capacity at all times.
• Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with all areas of the ALDI business.
• Contributes to and supports the on-going development and performance of the sampling team.
• Implements and ensures adherence to all legal requirements, health and safety and due diligence measures in their areas of responsibility.
• Ensure the security of any documentation and electronic data in the area of responsibility.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external parties and service providers.
• Ensures the accuracy of all correspondence within agreed timelines.
• Maintains an efficient and well organised filing system for the area of responsibility.
• Ensures that a polite and professional manner is maintained in all internal/external communications.
• Contributes positively and constructively to the Quality Assurance Team and the Corporate Buying Department.
• Manages stock levels of food items within the department.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in all food preparation and storage areas.
• Trial new equipment as required.
• Trains other employees where appropriate.

About You:

• Experience in a corporate kitchen environment
• Previous experience as a Chef.
• Food hygiene qualification.
• Culinary related qualification.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Consistent high performer in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable and reactive with a good level of initiative.
