We own and operate the National Gas network, delivering energy to where it is needed in every part of the country.
We keep households warm and underpin their quality of life. For business, we fuel growth and innovation, and we are looking to the future by developing the hydrogen transmission system of tomorrow.
You’ll join the National Gas Finance team and you will gain experience in different roles including transactional accounting and management reporting. Our Finance team is over 100 people and growing. You’ll receive exposure to Finance professionals, industry specialists and senior leadership.
You may have an idea of what area of Finance you’d like to specialise in, or you may not. Either way, our apprenticeship programme will help you achieve your potential.
At the end of your two-year programme, you’ll receive your AAT Level 4 qualification, a diploma in professional accounting, and a firm footing to start your career in Finance.
You’ll need to pass at least 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above (or AAT Level 3) and have GCSEs in Maths and English at level 5 or above (or equivalent). You’ll also need to be able to display good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

If you are successfully through to the next round, we will be holding initial virtual interviews between 28th February – 6th March, and successful candidates after that stage will then be invited to an in-person assessment centre on 18th March at our Warwick office.
