National Lead for Science

Permanent, 32.5 hours per week (Term Time Only)

September 2024 Start 

Location: 163 Eversholt Street, London NW1 1BU (role will include some regional and national travel as well as the potential for home working)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for an exciting new network-wide role as our National Lead for Science.

Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) is a national multi-academy trust committed to transforming the education landscape. This role is part of our commitment to building our in-house education improvement capacity and expertise, making sure that our schools have all the support they need to deliver an excellent science education for every child, every day.

We see access to scientific knowledge and disciplinary thinking as a cornerstone of an excellent education, which will enable our pupils to both realise the highest levels of academic success and to become worldwide citizens. We are looking for someone who shares that purpose to lead our science strategy across our schools. 

You will be an experienced leader with the drive and determination to improve standards in science. With expertise in curriculum, assessment design and implementation, you will be strategic and network-minded in your approach. You will have a passion for your subject and high levels of ambition for pupils, believing that access to high quality science education is an entitlement for all. 

Our aim is to accelerate improvement and enhance performance across our network, so that every teacher and leader is able to do their best work.
