Job description

In this varied role, you will provide specialist support on key strategic projects across people and processes in Store Operations, whilst providing support to Directors and Managers across the department.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to implement solutions, drive change and champion innovation. This is a pivotal role in helping to develop, implement and evolve the systems and processes within Aldi.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced assistant to join the Store Operations Committee on a 23 month fixed term contract.

Working to support the Project Director with administrative, professional, organisation and communication tasks including diary and time management. The ideal candidate must be highly accurate, articulate and professional. Must be proactive/reactive and able to prioritise a high volume of tasks and meet strict deadlines. Successful candidates will have integrity and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Your New Role

  • Proving administrative and professional support for Director and Committee
  • Complex calendar and inbox management
  • Report creation and data analysis
  • Managing the efficient and accurate flow of communication both internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external business stakeholders, responding to requests in a polite and professional manner
  • Processing invoices through ARIBA
  • Updating Personnel data through Workday

About You

  • Previous Personal Assistant experience in a corporate environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder engagement with internal colleagues
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, plan ahead and effectively prioritise conflicting requirements
  • Works independently and in a structured, methodical manner
  • Strong work ethic and a team player
  • Fully proficient in all elements of Microsoft Office along with the ability to quickly understand new software
  • Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues
  • Ability to ask the right questions, challenging ineffective and inefficient processes
  • Takes initiative, putting newly acquired knowledge into practice quickly
  • Relevant experience in an administration-based role

  • Starting salary from £32,345 rising to £40,860
