Due to growth & an internal promotion this leading building products manufacturer is looking to recruit a Sales Manager to lead a successful national field sales team within the specification market.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering sales performance by executing the company’s sales strategy to deliver growth in revenue & profit contribution through the sales team. This will be achieved by managing, supporting and coaching a motivated and accountable sales team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute the agreed sales strategy through the sales team in line with the business plan to accelerate growth and optimise margin contribution from revenue generating activity.
- Shadow and coach the sales team in the field to ensure the highest standards of client interaction, including CPD delivery.
- Deliver market and customer insights to develop an understanding of customers’ needs and experience.
- Ensure the consistent provision of reliable forecasts by the sales team to support the operational and strategic needs of the business.
- Be the point of escalation and resolution for any customer service-related issues, working closely with the internal sales team.
- Support a culture of accountability, continual personal & professional development and the highest standards of professional integrity.
- Ensure sales activity and client interaction offers the best possible reflection of brand messaging and company values.
To apply you need to have experience managing a field based specification team ideally targeting the healthcare or related public sectors and be a tactical thinker with strategic awareness and a solutions led approach to problem solving.
Additionally, you will have a continual commitment to learning and development, both personally and for your team and be agile and adaptable.
This is a remote role that requires national travel & visits to the company’s South East based HQ where you will also oversee a team of internal project sales coordinators and collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure alignment of Sales & Marketing activity.

On offer is a salary of up to £70,000 plus bonus and car allowance.
