Pay Rate: £12.25 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3-4 months
City: Bolton, Lancashire

The purpose of the role is to provide and maintain a clean and healthy environment within a specific neighbourhood area within the borough. Assist in all aspects of Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance work.
Key responsibilities:
To manually sweep and collect litter and detritus from the highway and open spaces shrub areas.
Remove fly tipping.
Manual removal of animal faeces from highway.
Remove accident debris from highway.
Empty and clean dog and litter bins.
Undertake Grounds Maintenance duties including shrub and flower bed maintenance, pedestrian grass cutting and edging off of associated grassed areas.
Clean and maintain public conveniences
Manually remove graffiti.
Undertake leaf clearance by manually sweeping.
Ensure playground areas are maintained.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
The ability to work with minimum of supervision.
The ability to work on own and as a member of a team.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials e.g. washing machines.
