The Vacancy

This role may require some after hours and weekend work when required

MSV Housing are looking for a Neighbourhood Manager to take an operational lead role in ensuring delivery of a high quality and effective neighbourhood management service.

You will work closely with both internal and external agencies and stakeholders to lead an effective operation of the operating model for neighbourhoods is aligned to legislative, regulatory and policy requirements.

What you will be doing:

The successful applicant will manage, lead and motivate a team consisting of Neighbourhood Team Leaders, Neighbourhood Officers, Income Offices and a Neighbourhood Assistants. You will ensure that the proper implementation of the Neighbourhood management function is in line with the Group’s policies and procedures.

You will lead, support and deliver the MSV’s Neighbourhood strategy and offer, whilst developing and strengthening partnerships both internally and externally, and working collaboratively with other teams to improve our customer journey. You will ensure that our Neighbourhoods are effectively maintained and managed, working closely with the Community Safety Team to ensure that communities are safe and sustainable.

The Neighbourhood Manager will provide effective leadership and lead, support and coach colleagues to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. This will be achieved by conducting regular team meetings and briefings, whilst implementing People & Talent policies and procedures, such as recruitment, induction, attendance management and employee relations.

We are looking for someone who is / has:

  • Demonstrate experience of effectively managing a team, who can demonstrate commitment to continual professional and managerial development.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner

  • Knowledge of health and safety in neighbourhoods

  • Customer focused and a desire to provide services to a high standard

  • Demonstrate experience of managing people effectively

  • Experience of formulating, implementing and reviewing policy and procedure

  • Experience of managing budgets

  • Experience of delivering quality work on time
