We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a temporary Neighbourhood Officer until at least June 2024, to work 35 hours per week on a hybrid basis where you will be responsible for overseeing the property & tenancy management of an assigned portfolio of properties within Liverpool.
Your new role
- Proactively managing a portfolio of properties, maintaining a high quality service for tenants and ensuring sustainability of housing estates.
- Carrying out accompanied viewings, liaising with the allocation team to ensure demand for properties
- Checking rent accounts for arrears, liaising with rent team and signposting tenants for debt advice & money management
- Property inspections and ensuring health & safety is met, raising appropriate repairs including any decants that may be required.
- Tenant property visits, making risk assessments and referrals & signposting to external agencies.
- Raising domestic abuse or safeguarding cases and reporting concerns via the appropriate channels.
What you'll need to succeed
- Driving licence with access to own vehicle
- Working knowledge of current housing legislations
- Experience of managing a portfolio of properties
- Experience of working with vulnerable tenants
- Knowledge of property health, safety and compliance
What you'll get in return
- Weekly pay
- Hourly rate up to £20.50 per hour
- Temp contract until June 2024
- Option to be paid via PAYE or Umbrella
