An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the dynamic and supportive team in our local neonatal unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The Neonatal Unit is a 16 bedded neonatal unit caring for babies from 27 weeks gestation, we provide 5 intensive care/high dependency cots and 11 special care cots and have recently opened a 12 bedded transitional care unit on the postnatal ward.
We are part of the Thames Valley and Wessex Neonatal Network and the Bedford, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and work closely with our colleagues in our neighbouring units to provide high quality care.
Across the Neonatal Unit we continually strive, as a multi-disciplinary team, to offer high quality, evidenced based and holistic care to all of our patients. We believe that we have much to offer any candidate who joins our team.
Opportunities include internal and external study days and University based courses such as Mentorship, Special Care and High Dependency and Intensive care of the Newborn.

We work closely with our maternity and paediatric c offer the option of to be part of our rotational programme between the neonatal and paediatric wards.
We welcome applications from both newly qualified, experienced qualified in speciality nurses and nurses from a paediatric, adult or midwifery background with an interest in developing their skills in neonates.
