Network Engineer

Role: Network Engineer

Location: Blackpool

Salary: GBP40,000-GBP45,000

We are working with an almost 200 year old company who is solidified in the confectionery industry and employ over 250 people. They are currently in need of an experienced Network Engineer who can come in and take responsibility for the WAN/LAN infrastructure, as well as have in depth experience of network switching, routing, firewalls and supporting services within the enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include 3rd line support, monitoring and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure and services, maintaining and maximizing network security and taking a key role in planning and delivering both new and ongoing improvement projects.

Technical Experience/Qualifications

• Extensive experience with network routing and switching.
• Extensive experience programming Cisco, HP and Dell networking equipment.
• Firewall configuration (particularly Fortinet)
• Complex Wi-Fi deployments (particularly Aruba and Ubiquiti).
• Network monitoring and management and diagnostic tools (particularly SolarWinds).
• Familiarity and experience working with multiple site MPLS environments.

Skills

• Excellent diagnostic fault-finding and monitoring skills.
• Able to work well with others with a strong team focused approach to success.
• A desire to learn new skills and willingness to adapt to changes in a dynamic working environment.
