SalaryA Network Engineer is required to join a fast paced, highly motivated technical Service Delivery team. Reporting to the Head of IT Service Delivery, you will lead on the design and maintenance of the network infrastructure and services. Using your problem solving and analytical skills, you will investigate and resolve network hardware and software problems ensuring any issues are resolved at pace.
Candidates must demonstrate Juniper, Fortigate and Checkpoint skills.
Key accountabilities:
- Deal with network incidents, performing fail over operations, and managing the resolutions of faults, working with third parties where necessary.
- Progress continual service improvement by looking at new technologies, identifying gaps in existing services and how these could be bridged to help drive the road map for the team.
- Assist with the delivery of projects in the wider Service Delivery team, focusing on the network infrastructure element of the project.
- Support the Head of IT Service Delivery to deliver projects to meet business requirements on time and within budget, from procurement to the delivery of the service.
Daily activities will include:
- Investigate faults in systems, processes and services, and advise on the implementation of appropriate solutions and preventative measures.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Support and administer firewalls.
- Support in the procurement and management of services and equipment.
There may be a need to work out of hours but this will be notified in advance wherever possible.
