Delivering what we promise
Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Network Engineer to work on our Thames Water contracts based in and around the London & Thames Valley area.
As Network Engineer you will monitor, investigate and resolve low-pressure issues, complaints, and escalations as highlighted either directly by the customer or by alarming critical pressure points, understanding areas and developing solutions to individual problems or emerging risks.
You will be monitoring the District Metered Area (DMA) and District Meter (DM) availability for emerging issues and supporting the technical resolution of the maintenance workstream.
Writing and assessing risks for the work impacting the clean water hydraulic system, for example, the repair of leaks, the operation of assets on the network, production site outages, and various other workstreams. Supporting monitoring of pressure managed areas and management of information.
Ensure all activities follow Thames Water Asset Management Procedures and that the Risk Assessment process is properly implemented and monitored in a timely fashion.
Assist with analysis of long-term issues such as excessive head loss, low flows, area integrity, supply resilience, and water quality turnovers.
Formulating operating strategies in conjunction with the water control centre and highlighting instances of non-compliance, balancing the drivers of leakage reduction and customer pressures, while maintaining a calm operation of the system.
Evaluate and analyse operational information, understanding data integrity difficulties, to resolve basic problems. Design and update line schematics of water pressure zones and the hydraulic systems, to help management and investigation issues.
Are you a self-starter, with the ability to manage a variety of projects independently?
Do you have proven experience and track record of network operations and a knowledge of key activities such as valve operations, mains flushing and issuing/compliance with permits to work?
Are you competent with IT systems such as Microsoft Windows, GIS & SAP?
Do you have a positive can-do attitude, with a willingness to take ownership of problems through to a full and satisfactory resolution?
Are you a clear communicator, with a keen eye for detail?
Can you work on your own initiative as well as part of an effective operational team?
Are you an effective time manager, meeting stringent timescales and targets?
Do you have a clear understanding of the Permit to Work system?
Does this sound like you? If so, we want to hear from you!
