We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Escalation for the service desk of client issues they are unable to resolve.
  • Resolving monitoring issues for our internal Infrastructure
  • Ensuring core networking and hosting platform performing optimal levels
  • Work on internal networking platform projects for maintenance, expansion, and upgrades.
  • Take ownership of projects to assist the Networks Engineering Team Lead in project delivery.
  • Deliver internal training to other departments as required.
  • Mentor non senior engineers to develop skills and knowledge.

  • Full UK driving license
  • Hold at least one or more Cisco or Juniper certifications at “Associate” level.
  • Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate or JNCIA-SEC - (Desirable)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer - (Desirable)
  • Experience working with BGP in an ISP environment is essential
  • Experience working in an MPLS environment L2/L3 VPN.
  • Extensive experience of Juniper and Cisco routing and switching.
  • Proven experience of planning and implementing networking projects.
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers to provide broadband services.
  • Experience working with complex Wi-Fi deployments.
  • Experience working with Unified Communications.
  • Experience working with Monitoring systems, SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk etc.
  • Experience in working with ticket systems and an understanding of priorities and SLA’s Supporting LAN networks
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to create technical and user documentation with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective diagnostic fault finding and monitoring skills.
  • Excellent conversational fluency in English is required to clearly explain complex technical issues.
