Wiltshire Highways – Enhancing Lives, Building Communities
Join our Network Management team and help mitigate delays for essential works on the highways of Wiltshire.
The role of a Network Permit Officer is varied and involves working in one of three coordination areas. Your responsibilities will include managing all works permits in a defined geographical area and coordinating all works and activities to ensure the disruption on the highway network is minimised. Additionally, you will also work alongside the wider team and deal with urgent defects phoned in by the site-based Street works Technicians.
W e are looking for a candidate who is a great team player and possesses excellent IT skills and shows good and demonstrable customer service abilities. You will require an accurate and logical approach to your work and have the ability to prioritise, multitask and have a “can do” attitude to your work.
You will ideally hold an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in an engineering field and/or have relevant experience within a regulatory field and/or Highways background. Ideally you will have some understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act.
