  • Proactively liaise with regional Operations colleagues (e.g. Service Delivery and Scheme Delivery) and wider internal and external stakeholders to optimise network availability and minimise the impact of planned and unplanned events on customers.
  • When required deliver timely and accurate engagement, communications and updates to senior managers and stakeholders on a broad range of issues including winter, resilience and emergency planning topics, including preparation of management reports, debriefs and lessons learnt.
  • Ensure that any relevant information, documents, materials, service delivery manuals, requirements and guidance are kept up to date and accessible to the wider regional teams.
  • Take responsibility for the health and safety of the wider teams and yourself by challenging, reporting, and acting on any unsafe activities or conditions.
  • Travel to Local Resilience Forum meetings as well as various stakeholder and partner meetings within the region, taking part in tabletop and live exercises to test multi agency planning.

To be successful

  • Experience of winter or emergency / contingency planning
  • Understanding of customer satisfaction drivers
  • Knowledge of health and safety in its entirety
  • Experience in highway maintenance activities.
  • Experience in producing operational orders for planned events
