As a IT Project Engineer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of our client’s enterprise-level Network Projects. This includes setting up and maintaining routers, switches, and access points, as well as designing and implementing future network technologies. You'll troubleshoot issues independently and ensure all projects are completed on time and to the client's satisfaction.
IT Project Engineer Main Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing detailed documentation for each.
- Configure advanced networking setups, including Windows Server OS and Layer 3 switching.
- Identify and implement improvements to network infrastructure.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Participate in capacity planning and network performance tuning.
- Maintain network documentation and follow change management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues.
- Represent the IT function in customer meetings as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or higher.
- Project management experience (e.g.: Prince 2).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and OSI/TCP/IP models.
- Proficiency in Cisco, Palo Alto, VPN technologies, and Checkpoint.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic Linux.
- ITIL certification and excellent communication skills.
