Location: Depot based – can be based anywhere within our East Midlands network with regular travel required to our Leicester depot, LE2 7QJ
Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £28,158 - £33,128 depending on skills and experience

As the Administrator for Cadent Gas you will provide administrative support to the team and promote and develop good working relationships with your customer focused inclusive approach.

The successful candidate will also assist with the smooth running of the team including diary management, purchase orders, reporting, maintenance of systems and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation and information is held.
What you’ll get to work on
  • Create reports for the Management team, providing key and relevant data as and when required from a variety of different sources
  • Manage incoming phone calls, mail, and correspondence and provide a first line response for team communications
  • Ensure that all requests, orders, and invoices are progressed in a timely manner, complying with all procedural requirements and internal audit regulations
  • Attend meetings as and when required, note take and complete action points as and when and required
  • Process invoices; review and ensure accurate charges, identifying and discrepancies and liaising with the relevant Service Partner to correct
  • Monitor financial inaccuracies/underpayments with regards to incomplete payments from Customers/Suppliers; create financial MI as required, highlight any interventions; working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the onboarding of all new staff and contractors, including arranging inductions, training, and procuring PPE and IT equipment, liaising with suppliers as necessary
  • Coordinate and accurately maintain local team records including financial and leaver records. Accurately maintain the training register and minimum competency framework database (compliance); ensuring both are updated and cross-checked as training becomes either due or completed
  • Manage and co-ordinate diaries for the team, schedule meetings as required, ensure the itinerary is always clearly communicated to all relevant parties; arrange accommodation/car hire for the wider team as required

Who are we looking for
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Competent in the use of standard desktop packages, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent team worker, whilst being able to work collaboratively with internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Adaptability and flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly in response to business demands
