Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 PLUS 30 Days Holiday (+BH), Flexible Working, Private Pension, Private Healthcare, Company Bonus
We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated IT Network Security Engineer with an expert networking background to join a well established, technology business operating in the Cyber Security industry based in Derby, Derbyshire.
The successful candidate will be assisting the team in delivering and implementing various exciting projects and supporting multiple new programmes.
Outside of project work you will be assisting with BAU issues, but this is mainly a project focused role! This business pride themselves on their company culture and being a great place to work, where employees are valued!
Responsibilities:
- Provide 3rd line technical support and assistance to customers and end-users, via both onsite and remote support
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Assist with implantation of IT Projects
- Administrate and maintain Firewalls, Switches, Routers and WAP's
- Monitor system performance and ensure system security
- Participate in the implementation of new systems and technologies
- Provide a consultancy service for new products and deployments.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Networking - TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, VLANs, Layer 2 / Layer 3 Protocols, Wireshark Tracing,
- Technical Knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy and Powershell
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and other cloud technologies
- Experience with Firewalls Rules.
- Cyber Security experience - beneficial.
- CCNA, CCNP, Network+ - Desirable
