Job Purpose

Cadent Gas Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Network Supervisor to join their Energy Ops team in the North West!

As our Network Supervisor you`ll support our Operations, Maintenance & Investment departments to ensure detailed policy & procedures in line with industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity to supervise a highly skilled maintenance team responsible for the safe and reliable operations of Gas Distribution Assets across the North West.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing & maintaining a positive safety ethos both within the team & through the impact of the maintenance team's activities to meet the companies Health, Safety & Environment objectives. Fulfilling obligations under SCO/STC for self and team. Continually reviewing AE & CP community under their control, initiating competency training to ensure efficient delivery of NRO's & PTW's.
  • Developing, implementing & managing safe working practices, maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance plans & engineering standards & specifications and building lasting positive relationships with Customers & key stakeholders, ensuring all sites are planned & prepared in readiness for any works commencing. Ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Accountable for the close out of Projects in line with Cadent procedures, working closely with Contract Management and Control (CMAC) to capture all project costs.
  • Developing, implementing & coordinating routine maintenance activities in line with the annual maintenance plan (AMP), defect elimination, preventative/predictive maintenance plans.
  • Supporting to key stakeholders within organization & client for programs of capital improvement, from conception to completion and undertaking audits & inspections in line with relevant standards and contract KPI's, producing MI and recommendations in driving best practice through safe, efficient planning.
  • Ensuring Cadent`s asset database truly reflects site conditions, including site drawings whilst being accountable for site visits to ensure that setting to work has taken place effectively, with the control documentation (NRO, PTW etc) briefed effectively, roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and followed/implemented.
  • Providing visible front line engagement with field force, customers, and key stakeholders
  • Overseeing (where required) a process focussed team of staff to create a culture of safety and asset ownership.

 

Skills and Experience

  • 5 years + experience with an E&I environment is required for this role
  • Experience of delivering engineering projects preferably within the gas industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas plant and process systems
  • Broad knowledge of Gas Distribution's Core Processes
  • Good understanding of risk management principles and tools
  • Good working of knowledge of HSE regulations relevant to role
  • HNC/SNVQ L3 or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualifications
  • Holds EUSR Gas Safety Passport
  • IOSH or recognised training or qualifications on Health, Safety & Environment
  • SCO 1, 2, 4  & 5
  • Understanding of Process Safety Principals
  • Knowledge of Network Operations and SCO requirements
  • Knowledge of engineering standards
