Network Technical Lead

The role

We are searching for a Network Technical Lead for our client who is transforming their network infrastructure across multiple UK sites. Our client is a forward-thinking organisation and you will be working with new and exciting technologies in large scale deployments and implementations.

The Opportunity

This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver exciting Projects and initiatives. The organisation has just delivered a Cisco Meraki deployment and you will be required to configure, optimise and refine the network across all sites.

You will also be part of a Product Team focussed on Network Connectivity, evolving existing Infrastructure as Code and utilising IoT and to align with the departmental and organisational goals.

You will collaborate with other Product teams within the organisation to support and collaborate around delivery and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, fine-tune, and optimize the network infrastructure
• Ensure seamless connectivity, security, and high performance.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
• Evaluate existing network architecture.
• Develop and mature Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Automate network provisioning and scaling.

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead a team of skilled network engineers.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Cloud teams.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Who You'll be

• You'll have experience of configuring Cisco Meraki on a large scale
• You'll have a strong understanding of IaC principles.
• You'll have a strong background in IT Networking
• You will be based in the Northeast and you are able to visit the Site three days per week in Newcastle
• You will have the desire and willingness to drive the function forward
• You will have previous experience managing a team
