We are looking for enthusiastic talent to join our Water Services team as Water Networks Apprentices. Whether you're looking to kick start your career, seeking a new challenge or considering a career change, we have opportunities for all. In this 24-month apprenticeship, you'll undergo a comprehensive training program, blending classroom study and on-the-job training, with the ultimate goal of becoming a fully qualified Network Technician.

Your journey: Embark on a 24-month adventure where you will immerse yourself in the intricacies of water network operations. Through a combination of classroom education and hands-on experience, you'll work towards a nationally recognised Water Industry Network Technician apprenticeship. Your journey will be guided by experienced technicians, ensuring you acquire the practical skills needed for success.
Your role as a Water Network Technician Apprentice: You'll be at the forefront of our commitment to excellent customer service and maintaining first-class water quality. No two days are the same as your responsibilities will include planned and reactive activities related to network operations, responding to customer needs, conducting planned preventative maintenance, leakage detection, and ensuring compliance with water regulations. You'll be the prime point of contact with the public, promoting our brand in a positive light, so customer service skills are key! Upon being fully qualified as a Water Network Technician, this role operates on a 24/7 standby basis, highlighting the vital nature of your contribution.
To be successful as an Anglian Water Apprentice you will require:
5 GCSE's including Maths and English Grade A-C or 9-4 (if you have not completed your GCSE's we will accept predicted grades. We also accept Level 2 Functional Skills)
A desire to learn while working in a practical environment
Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers
A passion for doing the right thing and delivering exceptional customer service
As well as the above, you will need a full UK driving licence. If you do not currently have this, you are required to hold a full UK driving licence prior to the completion of year 2 of the training programme. Application Timeline: Once we receive your CV and application, we will assess your eligibility for the role. If you meet the requirements, you will be asked to complete five screening questions to find out more about you and your motivations for applying, and an online behavioural assessment for us to learn more about your values and behaviours. If successful, you will be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre in Lincoln on Thursday 27th February 2024
