Senior Network Test Engineer

As a Network Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our network infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, design, and execute comprehensive testing strategies to evaluate the functionality and efficiency of our network systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Network Testing plans and procedures to validate network performance, functionality, and security.
• Design and execute a variety of tests, including performance, stress, scalability, and interoperability testing.
• Identify and document network issues, bugs, and vulnerabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
• Configure and maintain test environments, including network devices, Servers, and testing tools.
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports, including recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Collaborate with network engineers and architects to understand network design and implementation requirements.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to Network Testing and performance optimization.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of testing tools and technologies.
• Support and mentor other Test Engineers in the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Testing Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Network Testing tools (eg, Wireshark, Iperf, Nmap, Selenium).
• Proficiency in Scripting languages (Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with network hardware, such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and load balancers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Industry certifications (eg, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are a plus.
