About Our Client
Our client is one of the leading housing associations in the UK specialising in finding homes for the elderly.
Job Description
- Reviewing relevant drawings, specifications and standard guides
- Carrying out visual inspections of projects onsite
- Inspecting works within New Build properties in line with current regulations
- Updating the construction delivery manager or the contractors management team
- Keeping records of all activity and produce reports to highlight quality issues/concerns
- Preparing a schedule of defects at the end of the defects liability period for communication with contractors
- Monitoring the performance of main and sub-contractors
- Auditing the contractors quality management plan
The Successful Applicant
- HNC/HND Qualification in a building related field OR qualified by equivalent experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Well-developed IT skills and knowledge of relevant software packages
- Up to date with current Health and Safety/CDM legislation
- Ability to recognise M&E requirements and ensures systems installed accordingly.
- Wide understanding of the construction industry and experience of working on an operational site, including methods of construction and legal requirements
- Work well under pressure to deliver within specific timescales
Travel will be required to different sites within the South London and Kent alongside homebased working.
