Job description

Our client is a market leader in the production of industrial waste shredders. They take pride in ensuring their shredders are best in class and that their service offering keep their machines in peak condition at all times.
With a worldwide network of partners and service providers they pride themselves in being close to their customers with an in–depth understanding of their needs and individual preferences.
As part of their continued growth within the UK they are seeking to appoint an Area Sales Manager whose primary function is to develop New Business opportunities within the recycling industry.
Please note, to be considered you must be able to demonstrate a track record in developing New Business within a high ticket value, long lead time environment.
This role will suit an experienced hunter who has the tenacity to identify potential customers building relationships and enhancing the brand of our client.
Experience within the recycling industry is desirable but not essential, however it is likely that the successful candidate will have experience within the sale of large capital equipment sales (GBP300,000– 1,000,000) with long lead in times within a related capital equipment field such as steel, foundry, building, or engineering.
This is a home–based remote role in which the role holder is expected to have at least 75% travel activity within the UK and Ireland in addition to 4–6 annual visits to the global HQ in Denmark, for customer visits and meeting activity.
Personal specification:
Experienced working with complex project sales of high value industrial equipment.Proven track record of securing New Business & growth through networking, tenaciously following up on enquiries and building long term relationships.Ability to take on board product and technical information whilst collaborating with the in–house technical team throughout the sales process to ensure a seamless client journey.Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, planning activity and aligning this with the agree business objectives.Adept in identifying changing market trends and adapting approaches to match changed needs through market research and awareness of the industry as it evolves.Must be prepared to travel throughout the UK and Ireland with regular trips to the clients HO in Denmark including a weeks induction programme. Basic is dependent upon experience circa GBP55–65,000Car allowance of GBP800 pmAnnual bonus with objectives set at 20% of basic but can reach 40% of basic salary.
