New Business Underwriter

This New Business Underwriter position will see you spend at least 2 days per week out visiting your existing broker panel here in Scotland.
Your remit here will allow you to forge brilliant relationship with the who's who of the Scottish broking community., cementing your reputation as an integral part of the commercial insurance market.
Your broker facing work here will be a mix of monthly surgeries, strategic reviews and on specific case work where you'll underwrite New Business within the P&C side.
You'll balance this broker facing remit with time at home catching up on admin work and in the Glasgow-based offices where you'll collaborate with your trading and support teams.
This insurer is a recognised brand within the commercial insurance market who have a competitive product suite and slick back office system to help oil the trading wheels.
Here you'll receive arguably the best benefits package in the market and receive an annual performance-related bonus of up to 15% of your base salary.
You'll thrive here if you have commercial underwriting experience under your belt already and excel when you have autonomy to work in a broker facing role where you can use your skills in relationship management to trade with brokers.
This is a targeted role, so you'll need to be energised by New Business and have a keen eye for executing sales opportunities.
The interview process here is very straightforward with a two stage process involving an initial informal chat followed by a technical assessment.
