The Role:
The local area New Homes Partner is a key member of the Group Land & New Homes team. They will work as part of the Regional Land & New Homes Leadership Team, to deliver both the performance and the strategic requirements of our hub based programme, within their own area of responsibility. The role will require working in close collaboration with other business unit leaders, functional heads, business partners and teams across the Group to deliver outstanding performance in line with our Purpose, Vision and Values and our stated strategic ambitions. The role holder will maximise business opportunities both directly and through a team of people in their hub location. By understanding the requirements and motivations of UK residential property developers and housebuilders, the role holder will maximise exposure to opportunities and service lines, resulting in market leverage for the Group.
The Land & New homes Team
The Group Land & New Homes Team is responsible for delivering a National, fully integrated planning, consultancy, land and New Homes sales service. Excellence of service, operational consistency and high quality advice is at the core of the Land & New Homes team`s approach, in order to delight each and every customer and generate maximum value for Countrywide.
Examples of what you will be doing:
  • Develop, support and implement the Residential Development Solutions strategy, in support of the wider Group growth strategy
  • Lead a complex and challenging cultural and business change agenda
  • Form a deep understanding of your competitive positioning in your business area and the strategy required to beat the competition
  • Grow our existing business within the sector, including, but not exclusively or limited to; land sales and acquisitions, planning consultancy, New Homes distribution, financial services, conveyancing
  • Deliver budgeted/forecasted performance targets
  • Work with other business units to capture commercial cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and demonstrably
  • Build and inspire a truly high performing team, delivering world-class people experience, cultivating ownership, empowerment, collaboration and engagement that bring our leadership behaviours to life every day.

Experience you have that will set you up for success:
  • You will have been a valued member of a high performing business unit, within an Estate Agency background and with New Homes/Developer experience
  • You will have a strong track record in B2B sales with an outstanding commercial acumen and local market knowledge
  • You will have experience of building and leading a high performing team in fast paced and demanding
    environment and will also have land transaction knowledge / competency
  • You will have P&L management and HR process / policy understanding
  • You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, to inspire others and strong management skills, to maximise performance
  • You will have outstanding influencing and communication skills with written and verbal eloquence, together with an ability to handle conflict
  • You will have analytical skills and ability to prioritise with strong judgement skills and an ability to make decisions
