The successful NPD Technologist will work with a skilled, passionate, diverse team & in a culture where employees are supported & can develop their career as the company continues to grow. The successful candidate will work closely with & support the Senior NPD Technologist & NPD Manager

The Role:
The NPD Technologist will have at least 1 years’ experience working in a similar NPD Technologist role in the food manufacturing industry ideally within a high care environment . The role is very varied & essential & the successful candidate will be involved in the concept development of New Products, doing factory trials, assisting in sample preparation in order to develop & roll out New Products ensuring everything is documented in order the pass all audits successfully.
The role is extremely interesting & the successful candidate will have a lot to get their teeth stuck into.
With a continued expansion there is also definite progression for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out NDP factory & transport trials to test new concepts
* Ensure all trial outcomes are documented & raise any issues with the NPD Team
* Assist in development of new outer casing & label cutter guides
* Attend signed off product process trials to ensure quality & execution is in line with company standards
* Attend NPD & workshop meetings & weekly taste panels as well as organising the distribution of customer samples & attending product launches
* Assist in completion of all essential paperwork
* Organise & attend new machine trials & target photos of new signed off products
* Organise competitor samples to use as benchmarking
* Support the Senior NPD Technologist & NPD Manager & the wider company & its objectives with a great, hands-on attitude
Experience Required:
* At least 1 years’ experience in a Food to go manufacturing environment in a similar role within NPD or Process Development
* Some flexibility to ensure business needs are met
* Proactive & methodical
* High level of reliability and flexibility is essential
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Qualification in food related discipline would be an advantage though not essential
* Good understanding of excel & word
Salary & Benefits:
The starting salary for this role is up to £30,000 plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays back in lieu), pension, life assurance, income protection, extensive discounts for you & your family & medical cover . The role is Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with flexibility when there is a product launch. The role has a definite path to progression & is a great opportunity for the right candidate
