A successful and ambitious manufacturer enjoying a sustained period of growth, with an increasingly international customer base. This company is already profitable and stable, and now entering a scale-up phase to take advantage of their specialist product range.
Your new role
You will oversee and support the link between Product Development (R&D), and the wider business, in particular Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing and Marketing. This will include ensuring products align with company objectives, supporting growth of market share and sales. The company will provide training on their specialist products, you will bring control to the NPI process.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will have experience in a similar role, controlling New Product Introduction function within a fast-moving business. You will understand the gateways that provide control as products move from R&D into "business as usual" production, keeping each department updated, and supporting stakeholders by coordinating timescales as products move through the stages.
You will be comfortable juggling multiple products and projects, and have good commercial instincts, understanding inventory control, suppliers and the purchasing function, stock planning, and also technical compliance for materials and finished products (although training in technical compliance relevant to their product range can be supported by the business). You will maintain and update Product Technical files and keep up to speed with relevant industry regulations. Experience of REACH, BBA, CA audits (or similar) is an advantage. Any qualifications or experience in Chemicals Manufacturing sector is also an advantage.
