Form of workWhen you join Elysium as a Newly Qualified Preceptee Nurse, you are automatically enrolled onto the RCN-accredited Preceptorship Academy. That's 12 months of expert support, training and supervision to help you apply your academic knowledge in real life situations.

As a Qualified Nurse you work 37.5 hours per week (12 hour shifts) at Thornford Park, where you will ensure people diagnosed with mental health conditions receive high-quality care, while supporting your colleagues and promote good teamwork.
No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET
You will work at Thornford Park which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.
You will work alongside the multidisciplinary to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder. Service users may have histories of offending and/or may have failed in previous placements.
