Job description

Newly Qualified Primary Teacher

Location- Bridgend CF36

Pay starting at- £157.66 per day (National Framework)

Teaching personnel are looking for Newly Qualified teachers to join a primary school in Bridgend on a long-term basis, we are looking for a full-time teacher to take over various classrooms from Reception-Year 6. We need a charismatic and energic teacher to join a class with maximum of 30 students.

The class you will be teaching could be between reception and YR6 so an ability to adapt and build rapport is necessary. The ideal candidate will have just finished studies and have strong references from placement schools.

Role and responsibilities

  • PPA, you will be given time for this through the week to do this, but each student may require sperate plans
  • Ensuring all TAs are prepped and ready for each lesson to assist and help the pupils that need it in each session
  • Behaviour monitoring for some pupils in accordance to personal plans
  • Be comfortable teaching classes of up to classes of 30 students

Requirements and qualifications

  • Have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or transferred
  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the update service (We can assist you with applying for one of these if you need one)
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (We can assist you with the application process if you need to)
  • Has a pro-active attitude and a passion for working within an Education setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
