Our client is looking for two people to join the team as Night Concierges Their location is a semi-independent housing project providing high level support and accommodation for adults recovering from mental health issues. Their service is a psychologically informed environment in which clients and staff build trusting and respectful relationships which aim to empower clients.
The service is situated on the outskirts of Bath, in Weston Village, with easy transport links into Bath and Bristol. The service has allotments, a small orchard and a round house, and they run a range of activities to support recovery. Working as a Night Concierge, you will:
- Provide a first point of contact and safeguarding to clients at night.
- You may be required to work alone at times being responsible for dealing with emergencies, undertaking regular health and safety checks on patrols and through monitoring the CCTV system.
- Report incidents or maintenance issues and communicate any concerns or events to the rest of the team.
About you
This is a great role to learn about working in the charity sector, many of their specialist workers and managers developed a career after starting in Night Concierge roles.
You don’t need extensive experience; but should have some experience of working or volunteering in a similar environment and an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable adults with mental health support needs.

- You should have good communication and basic IT skills with the ability to keep records and follow procedures.
- The ability to stay alert and awake during your shift and act with integrity, using your initiative to remain calm to identify the appropriate action to take in various situations.
